Welcome to UTA Physics

Welcome to the UTA Department of Physics! Our department has outstanding undergraduate and graduate programs from bachelor's through the Ph. D. Our department has a faculty committed to teaching excellence while vigorously pursuing nationally and internationally recognized research in nanomaterials, particle physics, astrophysics, space physics, and nano-biophysics.

Our faculty members are highly regarded leaders in their fields and their research programs are supported by funding from the National Science Foundation, NASA, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research, among others. Students at the undergraduate and graduate levels are encouraged to participate with our outstanding faculty in these research programs.

We offer a free Physics Help Clinic to assist students with tutoring help and we also have a number of student organizations that promote physics education and provide students with opportunities for making new friends, networking, and community involvement.

I hope you will explore our website and reach out to us with any questions you might have regarding our degree programs. You’ll find the Department of Physics a warm and welcoming place to achieve your educational goals in physics!
