Skateboard, Roller Skates, Blades Use on Campus

Procedures
  1. General Policy

    In the interest of safety of individual using roller-wheeled items and of pedestrians in their immediate vicinity, the use of roller-wheeled skates, blades and skate boards will not be used in the Maverick Garage, Maverick Stadium, campus buildings, or city/campus streets. Persons using roller skates, blades or skateboards in a campus building, the concourse area inside the fenced area of Maverick Stadium, the interior drives and ramps of the Maverick Parking Garage or in the streets will be in violation of this procedure. No trick roller-skating or roller-blading on benches, retainer walls, railings, or any other fixture or portion of a structure will be tolerated, and will be in violation of this procedure.

  2. Disciplinary Actions

    UTA students apprehended violating this policy will be referred to the University Disciplinary Officer for action. Employees violating this policy will be referred for appropriate disciplinary action. Non-UTA students violating this policy will be escorted off campus and directed not to return unless they are fully prepared to comply with all UTA policies. Repeated violations by non-students will result in a criminal citation or other action as deemed appropriate.
