New partnership opens doors for STEM students

Posted on

I’m pleased to share that UTA has partnered with Arlington ISD to launch a new STEM Academy, creating opportunities for academic success for 125 ninth-graders from across the district.

In an official signing ceremony at Martin High School, AISD Superintendent Marcelo Cavazos and I were able to meet with some of the students participating in the STEM Academy. These students are able to earn up to 32 hours in their college major at UTA before they even graduate high school, as well as having opportunities for internships, mentorships, community service and more.

I know that by giving AISD students a chance to increase their knowledge and training, they will be able to make their dreams a reality.
