As president, one of my favorite things to do is to spend time with our students and celebrate their successes! On Monday I had the privilege of doing just that and was also able to recognize and thank many generous supporters who make these successes possible.
The College of Nursing and Health Innovation’s Annual Dream Makers Luncheon provides an opportunity to acknowledge donors whose scholarships have benefitted students and to celebrate those students. This was the first year that the luncheon also included students from the Department of Kinesiology, and it was great to see donors, faculty, staff and students from all the CoNHI disciplines celebrating this event together. My congratulations to Dean Anne Bavier and her team for a wonderful event.
I was inspired by the thoughts shared by our student presenters, Kendra Stephen (senior, Nursing) and Steven Boyd (senior, Kinesiology). They truly represent the heart and soul of the Dream Makers recognition program. On behalf of Kendra and Steven, and all the scholarship recipients, I again thank the generous donors and supporters who make dreams come true. This is what builds the legacy of UTA!
