UTA celebrates at the Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival

UTA's Main Stage
Once again, UTA was sponsor of the Main Stage!

Cloudy skies couldn’t keep our UTA Mavericks away from the Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival this month! UT Arlington was, once again, the sponsor of the Main Stage where numerous musical artists performed over the four-day event. Highlighted among these performers were UTA musicians in three of our Jazz Ensembles who gave a dynamic concert on Saturday afternoon. It was a pleasure to visit with the hundreds of alumni and friends of the University who gathered to watch the concert and enjoy the music and the great social atmosphere.

I always look forward to this remarkable Fort Worth event and the opportunity it presents to interact with the Fort Worth community (and many from throughout the Metroplex). The Main Stage is just blocks away from UTA’s Fort Worth Center which hosts a range of UTA programs which make educational opportunities even more accessible to all of Tarrant County.

Thank you to all who stopped by our booth at the Arts Festival, watched some of the performers on the Main Stage, or joined us in the Skybox for the Jazz Brunch on Saturday. If you missed us this year, start planning now for next year’s event. You won’t want to miss it!
