Currently Lead Teacher of Nursing Leadership and Management (N-4351) and Transition to Professional Nursing (N-4350) in the Off-Campus pre-licensure BSN program.  Responsibilities as Lead Teacher include course development, lecture preparation, and course revisions in collaboration with course instructors, coaches, and undergraduate program administration.  

Course content in N-4351 focuses on development of essential leadership, management, and communication skills necessary for professional nursing practice in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. Teaching strategies include individual and group learning activities and discussions designed to engage students in learning in a collaborative enviornment.

Course content of N-4350 is focused on facilitating the successful transition from student nurse to professional nurse prepared to provide holistic care for individuals with simple to complex needs. Multiple strageties are employed for evaluation of readiness for clinical practice including patient care simulation and computer based testing.

Section Lead for  RN-BSN Vulnerable Populations (N-4465). Responsibilities in this on-line course include team collaboration with course faculty and academic coaches for course updates, course delivery and oversight of student progress. This course  focuses on the role of the professional nurse in identifying health care needs of vulnerable, at-risk, and disenfranchised populations.
