Priority Registration begins on April 6, 2020. UTA is piloting multi-term registration for the upcoming year. Students will be able to register for 1000 and 2000 level courses for Summer 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021 when registration opens in April. You will also be able to register for 3000 and 4000 level courses for Summer and Fall. Spring 2021 3000 and 4000 level courses will be available for registration in the Fall. What is multi-term registration?
Multiple term registration allows students to register for an entire academic year at one time.
Do I have to register for all the terms at one time?
No, you are not required to register for all terms. You can register for any of the open terms you choose.
Can students register for any term or do I have to register for summer first, fall second, and then spring? Though not required, registering for the terms in order is highly recommended as it will allow you to meet any pre-requisite requirements needed for a later term. Also, remember that graduate students are required to request a leave of absence before taking a semester off from their studies.
How can I change my class schedule in advance?
You can drop and add courses for any term until the deadlines posted in registration timetables. You are strongly advised to consult with your academic advisor prior to making any adjustments to your schedule.
Do I have to pay for all the terms at once?
No, the billing cycle for future terms does not change.
Can I register for a course for next Spring if I won’t complete a prerequisite until this Fall?
Yes, once you register for a prerequisite course for Fall, MyMav will allow you to register for next Spring. If you do not complete the pre-req in Fall, you will be dropped for Spring.
In MyMav, can I search for class sections for more than one term at once?
MyMav’s Class Search allows you to select one term at a time.
Can I change my class schedule?
Yes, you can change your schedule through late registration for each term for that term’s courses. Please check the Academic Calendar for exact dates.
When will I have to pay for each term?
When will I receive my financial aid?
Financial aid disbursement will continue to begin 10 days prior to the official start date of each term. Please visit the Financial Aid website for specific details.
What happens if I drop a class that is a pre-requisite for a course for which I registered for a future term? Students will be dropped from all courses for which they do not meet the pre-requisites.
Can I place myself on a course waitlist for any term?
I have a hold on my account. Will this affect my ability to register for terms?
Students with holds preventing registration will be blocked for registering for any term until the hold is resolved.
What is a registration appointment time?
A registration appointment time is the starting date and time that you are eligible to begin registering in MyMav. Students should meet with their academic advisor to discuss course schedules before their registration appointment.
Do I need to see my Advisor every semester?
Yes. You should see your advisor every semester. This assures you are still on track for your degree plan. It is an opportunity discuss how you are doing in your current classes and plan for the future.
