Our alumni make a difference
Graduates from the College of Science have made significant contributions to the fields of Biology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Psychology, and beyond. They utilize the knowledge and experience they acquire at UTA to improve their lives and the lives of those around them.
Some have created companies or conducted groundbreaking scientific research. Others have earned leadership positions in major industries or patented innovative processes and applications. Still others have used their knowledge and experience to teach and mentor ensuing generations of scientists. Collectively, their efforts have played a major role in helping to enhance lives and push the boundaries of what is possible.
Our alumni – many of whom live in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex – go on to do great things in their communities once they graduate. Many of them also donate their time and financial resources to the College of Science, sharing their valuable wisdom and experience with today’s students. They have participated in career panel Q&A sessions and presented lectures about their chosen fields to interested students. Many have also generously established College of Science scholarships to assist future Maverick Scientists in achieving their educational goals. Some also serve on the College of Science Advisory Council, where they provide counsel for College leadership about important issues affecting the College.
