Virtual Private Network (VPN)
VPN (virtual private network) must be installed before you can use remote desktop to access your computer or access UT Arlington email using the Microsoft Outlook client. This creates a tunnel through the firewall allowing for secure email traffic to flow to and from your computer to UT Arlington servers. For more information visit the OIT Client Services VPN page.
