ANN MOODY SHELTER

Resident Advocate, M-F, 3pm-11pm

Position Summary:Provides a safe and supportive residential environment for all guests and assesses services and security needs of clients.

Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year of experience working in a residential facility, shelter, or similar environment. College courses in human relations, social work or similar field desired.

Licenses and Certifications:Valid Texas Driver’s License and clear driving record, CPR certified,

Food Handler license or able to obtain within 2 weeks of hire.

BATTERERS INTERVENTION PREVENTION PROGRAM

BIPP Facilitator

– less than 20 hours per week for weekend and evening groups – Must be bilingual.

Position Summary: Provides direct services to men and women perpetrators of domestic violence; facilitates psycho-educational groups for male/female perpetrators of domestic violence; conducts assessments, exit sessions and interfaces with representatives from the legal/criminal justice system.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Criminal Justice or similar and six months of experience working with perpetrators and victims of domestic violence and training in Duluth Model Facilitation OR a Bachelor’s Degree and any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required.

DIRECT CLIENT SERVICES

Education and Employment Specialist

Position Summary: Provides direct client services in the areas of employment counseling, client needs assessment, vocational evaluation, employment preparation, and training, referral to community resources and support services, program eligibility, and/or job development and placement.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Science, Counseling, Social Work or similar degree and at least 2-3 years of experience working in an environment facilitating job readiness classes and/or coaching for clients. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License and clear driving record

EMERGENCY SHELTER

Program Director, Residential Clinical Services

Position Summary: Responsible for the overall clinical operations of three Emergency Shelters and The Family Place Transitional Housing Program. Monitors, evaluates and provides supervision for all counseling and case management services provided to clients who enter the residential services program. Supervises all aspects of clinical service provision to residential clients including case management, therapeutic services and housing.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work or similar, with at least three years of clinical experience, preferably working with victims of domestic violence. Five years experience in program management supervision.

Licenses and Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License and clear driving record and current LCSW or LMSW license required.

FAITH AND LIBERTY SUPERVISION CENTER

Visitation Supervisor I – less than 20 hours per week, evenings and weekends

Position Summary: Provides professional supervision of parent/child visitation and exchanges.

Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar field (Masters Degree preferred), minimum of 2 years of experience working with domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, mental health, substance abuse or related areas. Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred.

EMERGENCY HOTLINE

Hotline/Shelter Advocate – less than 20 hours per week, evening and weekends

Summary: Provides crisis telephone counseling, establishes rapport and assesses level of client risk and as well as providing mental and emotional state of mind by active listening, comforting words and positive problem solving. Provides referral services to individuals calling Safe Campus hot line and provides a safety plan when clients are not able to stay at the campus. Conducts intakes for new residents and responds to residents needs while on duty.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related Human Services field. One to two years experience in crisis intervention and/or domestic violence preferred.

METROCREST OUTREACH COUNSELING CENTER

Children’s Counselor III

Position Summary: Responsible for providing individual and group services in a non- residential setting for children who have experienced and/or witnessed domestic violence. Services include assessments and constructive intervention activities that teach and reinforce positive self-image, healthy coping strategies, appropriate expressions of emotions and alternatives to violent behavior. Flexible hours required for day and evening services as needed.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Child Development or related field. Licensure required – LMSW/LPC-Intern/LMFT-A or LCSW/LPC/LMFT. Experience in child assessments, group work and/or play therapy required. Experience working with children who have experienced trauma – e.g., witnessed and/or experienced domestic violence, physical abuse, sexual abuse.

SUPPORTIVE LIVING PROGRAM

Adult Counselor III

Position Summary: Responsible for providing crisis intervention, case management services and group and individual counseling for victims of domestic violence.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work with LMSW required, LCSW preferred or Master’s Degree in Counseling with LPC. Minimum of two years paid or nonpaid experience working with adults and adolescents providing counseling and crisis intervention, training, curriculum development and experience presenting to groups or commensurate experience. Ability to maintain licensure and educational CEU’s while employed at TFP.

Licenses and Certifications:  Established LMSW or LPC-I with at least some hours gained towards license; LCSW or LPC preferred; Valid Texas Driver’s License
