Feeding Student Success

The Maverick Pantry is committed to creating and maintaining equitable access to food and essential items so that all members of the University Community can thrive academically, personally, and professionally. Education, support, and advocacy are the pillars that guide our mission in alleviating food insecurity within our Maverick community.

Our Services

Below are the following services we offer.


Students who are experiencing food insecurity can utilize the Maverick Pantry during the summer hours of Monday – Wednesday from 10:00AM-3:00PM. Maverick’s must schedule a shopping appointment in order to shop the pantry. Food options vary based on donations received. Food and essentials are free of cost and open to all UTA students, faculty, and staff who are experiencing need. Mavericks must have their MAV ID to utilize Maverick Pantry services. If you are a student parent facing food insecurity, please know that the Maverick Panty team is here to support you. We have a fully stocked section dedicated to baby food and formula, bottles, bibs, diapers, wipes, blankets, small toys, and many more items. We are here to support not only you but your family as well.


Students who demonstrate financial need and cannot afford their cap and gown are encouraged to email EAF@UTA.EDU to inquire if cap and gowns are available to rent for graduation ceremony. Cap and gown rentals are available based on donations received.


The Professional Development Closet is accessible to all students who are in-need of professional attire for career and internship interviews. Professional development clothing and attire vary by size as the closet operates on donations. Mavericks can schedule shopping appointments to shop for clothes by emailing EAF@UTA.EDU. If pant suits are available, they will be checked-out on a rental basis. Item availability will range from pant suits, belts, ties, socks, blouses, blazers, and shoes.
