Discrimination/Sexual Harassment/ Title IX

Process and Reference:

Students can report incidents involving sexual discrimination or harassment to any faculty, resident advisor and University official.

Complaints of discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability and/or veteran status must be written and submitted to EOS within 90 days of the alleged violation, or within 30 days of the end of the semester for students. The student will be contacted within 5 days with the name of the investigator and with a decision whether a complaint investigation will proceed.

Students may appeal EOS’s decision to not investigate an allegation of harassment by responding no later than 5 working days from receiving the notification letter. The appeal must be a signed, written document explaining why the decision to dismiss the complaint was in error and sent to the EOS Executive Director.
