The Mission of Multicultural Affairs is to cultivate inclusive and equitable engagements within the UTA campus community through intercultural dialogue, social justice education and build collaborative relationships through transformative learning.
In 1980 the university wanted to create a welcoming environment for the growing number of minority students. And so, Minority Student Services, or what is today known as Multicultural Affairs, was established. The office continued to adapt with the rapid growth of the school and an array of exciting new programs came into creation. These reflected our vision of broadening our approach to addressing the cultures of the Maverick community. Today they focus on creating opportunities for student-initiated programming.
