The Office of International Education’s longest and most popular event – join hundreds of students from across the U.S. and around the world at Global Grounds to enjoy free coffee, chai, snacks and music. Held every Thursday during the fall and spring semester in the Palo Duro Lounge of the University Center from 4:00-5:30pm. We love co-hosting with student orgs, staff and faculty! Email us for more info.
Students from more than 30 countries have joined this free and popular program to promote language learning, cultural understanding and friendship. We partner fluent English speakers who wish to learn another language with international students who want to improve their English. Partners choose when and where you’d like to meet each week. Interested in a language exchange that doesn’t involve English? We can do that too.
The Global Mavericks certificate program brings UTA’s diverse student body together to learn about culture, the world, and each other. Participants create their own journey by choosing experiences that fit with their academic major, schedule and interest. Regardless of your path, all participants will form relationships with students from around the world and develop intercultural competencies that will empower them to succeed in a globally diverse 21st century workforce.
I-Week is the largest annual celebration of culture at UTA, traditionally featuring student organization activities such as the International Food Fair, Fashion Show, International Exhibits, Global Extravaganza and a variety of cultural learning activities.
Each year, the Office of International Education celebrates the value of cultural exchanges and contributions of our international students during International Education Week (IEW).
