To-do List

Accepting Admission

All new students must formally accept their admission to UTA. Simply log into MyMav, visit your Student Center, and complete the steps under the Admissions tab.

Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Requirement

The State of Texas requires that all incoming college students under 22 years old must be immunized against bacterial meningitis before they enroll in an institution of higher education. Please refer to the official UT Arlington Bacterial Meningitis website to learn more about completing the vaccination requirement.

UTA email address

All University correspondence will be sent to your UTA email address, including New Maverick Orientation confirmation emails. Set-up your UT Arlington email address, and check it regularly.

Academic Advising

All students must meet with an academic advisor before registering for classes. Visit our Advising and Registration page for more information.

MyMav ID

Since Graduate Student orientation is on a Saturday, if you would like to get your MyMav ID picture taken we advise you do so prior to attending the orientation.

Apply for University housing, if you’re interested in living on-campus. Residence halls and on-campus apartments fill very quickly so all housing requests should be completed prior to orientation. Visit the University Housing website for more information or to fill out an application.

If you plan to be a GTA/GRA at the University of Texas at Arlington we encourage you to check out more detailed information here.

You will receive a confirmation email three days before your orientation session through your UT Arlington email address. Please read this email carefully as it contains important check-in information.
