Show your Maverick parents and family members how much you care by sending them a Maverick Family Appreciation eCard. Students are encouraged to write a special message to their parents or family members. Students should download their message, email it, or send a screenshot to your loved ones.
We also encourage you to invite your family to attend the UTA Parent & Family Center's Maverick Family Appreciation Day Activities on October 30, 2020, from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm.
New Maverick Orientation is the first step, for you and your student, on your exciting new journey. Parent and family involvement is imperative for a student’s journey through college. The New Maverick Orientation Parent/Guest Program is designed to acquaint you with the University and all it has to offer.
There will be sessions on navigating UTA, student success resources and family-focused sessions. So feel free to bring your whole family!
Come out and learn more about Latina/x/o student organizations, ways to get involved on campus, and the resources that we have on campus to ensure student success.
Community Coffee Hours & Community Conversations with International, First Generation and Spanish Speaking Families. This gives you the opportunity to engage with a panel of UTA Professionals about all things related to the Maverick Experience for you and your student! Join us on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. beginning June 12, 2020.
A Virtual Toolkit for Student Success & Maverick Family Connection e-Series. The fall e-Series will serve as supplemental learning to New Maverick Orientation and further support returning families, through connections to essential University resources that help students succeed during COVID-19. One-hour bi-weekly sessions will kick-off during Maverick Stampede beginning the week of August 24, 2020, and conclude the week of November 10, 2020.

To the 2020 Graduates Webcast and participate in the following Post Toast Activities: Share your graduation kudos, Play a round of UTA Trivia, Make a signature Maverick Mocktail with our special guest mixologist, Toast our graduates.
