Self Checks

You should monitor your symptoms daily. COVID-19 symptoms include cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, or fever. If you are experiencing any of those symptoms, you should contact your primary health care provider or UTA Health Services.

Stay home

We understand that, on such a diverse campus, everyone has a different living situation or employment status. Stay in your home as much as possible and limit your interactions to immediate family and those who live within your household. Seek help f you are experiencing symptoms, have tested positive for, or have had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Avoid Large Gatherings

Please limit your outside activities in a manner that makes sense for your life, while considering the impact of your actions on other Mavericks. Avoid public transportation if possible, eating out, and large group gatherings.

Mask Up

To create the safest possible environment on campus, UTA implemented a face-covering protocol, effective June 10, 2020, and in effect until further notice.

Social Distance

Continue social distancing from others by remaining at least 6 feet away from anyone you come into contact with. Replace handshakes with Mav up!

Take Care

Social distancing doesn’t mean social isolation. Reach out to us, your family, and your friends to manage your stress and ease your worry.

The MAC is Back

Why do Mavericks protect our community?

-

Daryn Trube

To protect myself and others during the pandemic and make sure health care workers have an easier time flattening the curve.

-

Cynthia Kaniki

Staying 6ft apart is important so that the transmission rate is decreased. It also makes me feel better distancing myself so I can be safe.

-

Kevin Yanogo

Alongside wearing face coverings, social distancing shows we care about each other and also decreases the risk of spreading the virus.

-

Kilee Torrez

It means we all have to readjust to our new reality and not interact the way we used to and respect other people's personal space.

-

Mohammed Alam

I stay home to make the world safer to live. We need to bear this pandemic at any cost. We can do that by keeping safe distance and staying home.
