Help Reduce Power Demands

The weather forecasters are predicting temperatures over 100 degrees for the remainder of the week. Electricity providers are concerned about the strain these temperatures will put on the power grid. We are asking the campus community to help reduce our power demands with a couple of simple adjustments:

  • Turn off all unnecessary lighting when leaving your office.
  • Close all window blinds/shades to help reduce the solar load, unless this would require you to turn on more lighting.

Please assist us with these energy conservation measures during this period of record high temperatures. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
