Payroll checks inadvertently mailed early

The Office of Business Affairs has determined that monthly payroll checks for March were inadvertently mailed out to 188 UT Arlington employees Thursday for receipt today, Friday, instead of Monday — which would have been the normal schedule for delivery.

Employees who receive payroll checks today or Saturday are advised that they should wait until Monday, March 1, to cash or deposit their checks. Otherwise, they may encounter problems at their bank or other financial institution.

"This is an unfortunate error, and we apologize for any inconvenience experienced by employees who may be affected by this," says Rusty Ward, vice president for business affairs and controller.
