Rolling blackouts possible until 7 p.m. today

The University has been notified that due to high temperatures, there is an extremely high demand for power and a strong possibility of rolling blackouts in the area until approximately 7 p.m.

Any faculty or staff who are working on sensitive data should take necessary precautions in case of unexpected power outages. Additionally, the University has been asked to help reduce the power load by shutting off any unnecessary lights or electrical appliances during this peak time.
