ARLINGTON - Fans of the $2 movies at the Planetarium at The University of Texas at Arlington asked for and will receive more cheap entertainment this summer.

Planetarium officials had planned to suspend the movie deal until the fall semester, said Amy Barraclough, the planetarium's program coordinator.

"The $2 movies have been very popular," she said. "We got a lot of e-mails from people saying they wanted them back, so we are going to continue the program."

The movies are at 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and at 2:30 p.m. Saturdays.

Summer films include:

  • Kung Fu Panda
  • Harry Potter
  • Chronicles of Narnia
  • Madagascar
  • Cars
  • The Incredibles
  • Ratatouille
  • Bolt

The Harry Potter films scheduled are:

  • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: June 10, 12, 13;
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: June 17, 19, 20;
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: June 24, 26, 27;
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: July 1, 3, 4; and
