Mission Statement

The mission of University Crossroads is to expand access to and success in higher education for first- and second-generation students from low-to-moderate income households. This is critical given Texas’ increasing demographic shift and ethnic under-representation in higher education. The mission aligns with 60x30TX, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s strategic plan that calls for 60 percent of adults aged 25 to 34 to hold college degrees or certificates by 2030.

P-16 Council

University Crossroads is on of 40 recognized P16 Council of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, a collaboration of over 90 community partners working to prepare students in Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties for college and career success.

The council is an outreach, diversity, and community engagement initiative uniting schools, postsecondary educational institutions, families, businesses, faith-based groups, local, state, and federal agencies, and community organizations. This united effort is dedicated to advancing the education of all students and to closing the gaps in students' academic achievements at all education levels.
