Music educators can now earn their Master of Music in Music Education while working full-time

The Department of Music at the University of Texas at Arlington announces a new online program designed to meet the needs of working educators, who are looking to develop their pedagogical skills to become better teachers and advance their careers in Music Education.

“This new format allows us to serve teachers anywhere in the world. The Music Education network at UT Arlington creates connections for teachers who look to expand their opportunities in the future.” -Dr. Martha Walvoord, Chair, Department of Music.

Designed for in-service teachers who want to progress in the practice and theory of music instruction, the program addresses the philosophical, sociological and psychological ideas in the field of music education. Educators will explore through advanced research and sharpen their critical and creative thinking as it relates to music education.

“We are excited to offer our Master of Music in Music Education completely online with a mixture of both synchronous and asynchronous classes. This provides the opportunity for teachers to stay in the classroom and learn from our phenomenal faculty while pursuing an advanced degree.” -Dr. Christopher Evans, Associate Director of Bands.

Through an engaging, online platform, students in the Master of Music in Music Education program gain a deeper understanding of contemporary issues in music education from a team of high acclaimed and distinguished faculty who are national experts in their respective areas and dedicated to student success.
