Endowed Scholarships/Graduate Fellowships

UTA Students On Campus

Scholarships transform lives and make dreams come true. That's why The University of Texas at Arlington is expanding its commitment to providing financial support to qualified students from all backgrounds. UTA has pledged an additional investment of $25 million in scholarships over the next five years, beginning with the fall 2021 semester. The awards will target the most academically talented students, along with first-generation college students and low-income families.

Endowed scholarships and endowed graduate fellowships are awarded to deserving students based on University standards and criteria set forth by the donor. While gifts to an endowed fund remain untouched, a portion of the income generated by the fund is distributed annually to support scholarships for generations to come, creating a permanent legacy at UTA.

A gift of $25,000 or greater can establish an endowed scholarship or graduate fellowship. Donors may take up to five years to fund an endowment with annual gifts of at least $5,000. Endowments enable donors to recognize or pay tribute to a loved one, colleague, or friend. Simply select an area of focus, and the University will partner with you to ensure that your gift remains an enduring expression of your interest and passion.

Gifts are tax deductible and may be made in various ways, including through outright giving, transfer of stock, or an estate.

"My scholarship motivates me to keep going and inspires me to work harder because there's always someone out there who notices and values hard work. I'm seeking to expand the skills I've gained from my scholarship in school, in student organizations, and in my future career."
