Course Description

This four day workshop allows teachers to become familiar with the AP Biology Curriculum Framework, the re-designed AP Biology Exam and the exam grading process. Participants will gain first hand experience in the set up and delivery of many of the recommended labs that support the revised curriculum. In addition to these laboratory activities, instructional strategies for presenting and assessing the curriculum will also be addressed.

Biographical Sketch for Jackie Snow

Jackie Snow is the Secondary Science Instructional Coach for Belton Independent School District in Belton, TX. Jackie has 23 years of AP Biology teaching experience, in both a small rural school district and a suburban 6A school district. Jackie is a recipient of the National Association of Biology Teachers' Outstanding Biology Teacher Award as well as the Texas Outstanding Biology Teacher Award. She has been a College Board consultant since 1995 and also served as an AP Biology Exam Reader for a number of years. Jackie has led numerous summer institutes as well as one and two-day workshops. Jackie and her husband live in Temple, TX. where they continue to enjoy their children, and currently 7 grandchildren.
