How To Get Your Student ID

This process is for

  1. Current Semester On Campus Students (Submit your photo online and pick it up later - We'll email you the details.)
  2. Students Attending New Maverick Orientation
  3. Online\Distance Learning Students who have requested and been approved for a Distance ID using the Distance ID Request Form.

All other students will need to stop by in person.

 

First things first, let's review the photo requirements... (see below for examples)

  1. Head, shoulder and face clearly visible and facing forward — no profile shots, sunglasses, hats or hands.
  2. Photo needs to be in color with a uniform white or light blue colored background.
  3. We only want to see you - No friends, pets or others in the photo with you.
  4. Graduation caps, gowns, or other costumes should not be worn.
  5. No filters or effects.

If your photo does not meet these requirements, you will need to stop by the Mav Express office in person to get a new photo taken.

Now that you know the photo requirements...

Upload your photo online

  1. Visit https://mavexpress-admin.uta.edu/student/welcome.php and login with your UTA NetID and Password.
  2. Click the option labeled "Submit ID Photo". 
  3. Upload a photo of your government issued ID photo such as a driver's license or passport. You'll need to do this before you can upload a photo of yourself.
  4. Upload a photo of yourself.
  5. Click "Submit" to have your photo reviewed.

So you've sent us the perfect photo.... Now how do you get your ID Card?

  • If you are a enrolled in the current semester, you will receive an email with instructions on where to pick up your ID. (Please note, this might be at a pickup location other than the MavExpress office!)
  • If you are attending an in-person new\transfer student orientation, you will pick up your ID card during the orientation.
  • If you are a distance learner, the ID will be mailed to the address on your request form. ID's are mailed out on thursday.
