The Police Communications office is the nerve center and lifeline of the UT Arlington Police Department. Each police communications operator plays a vital role in the overall mission of the department by facilitating emergency and non-emergency response to the UT Arlington Community.

Police Communications operates 24 hours a day and acts as a primary point of contact or referral resource for:

  • EMS and fire services
  • Request for safety escorts
  • Elevator entrapments
  • Motorist assists
  • Response to Emergency Call Boxes (Code Blue Locations)

The Police Communication Center is staffed by full-time licensed communications operators. All police communication operators receive extensive training to include a 15 week field training program. Communication operators are licensed through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING

The Police Department encourages the campus community to be aware of their surroundings and report anything unusual or suspicious they may see.
