Health and the Human Condition

Watch this video to see why UTA College of Nursing and Health Innovation faculty members and students have developed an after school program with the Grand Prairie Independent School District. In addition to gaining sports-specific skills, kids in the program are fighting off a sedentary lifestyle by developing healthy habits through physical activity and learning about good nutritional choices. The program is a unique demonstration of UTA's strategic commitment to advancing health management within physical, mental, emotional, and social contexts.

Alumni Spotlight

Congratulations to UTA almnus Brian Coltharp, P.E., who has been named President and CEO of Freese and Nichols, a Fort Worth based civil and structural engineering firm. Brian graduated from UTA in 1992 with a civil engineering degree and has worked for Freese and Nichols his entire career. He currently serves as the company's COO and will take over as CEO in January of 2017. He is another great example of UTA alumni who are making a difference in their industry.
