Six UTA students have been selected for four national sports teams: women’s wheelchair basketball, men’s under-23 wheelchair basketball, rugby and the U.S. Military Invictus Games. Education and Social Work Among Best In Nation
Education and Social Work Among Best

UTA's focus on quality education continues to garner results as new rankings place the College of Education and School of Social Work among the best in the nation. College Choice ranked UTA's College of Education No. 5 in the nation and No. 2 in Texas. The School of Social Work's Master of Social Work program was ranked No. 29 in the United States. The College list is based on data from U.S. News and World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics, and ratings from the National Council on Teacher Quality.

Faculty Startup Named One of 40 Best

Jon Wiedanz, UTA biology professor and associate vice president for research, is the co-founder and chief scientific officer for AbeXXa Biologics, a startup named one of the 40 "Best University Startups 2017". The list was made by the National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer, a Washington-based association of startup officers from the top research universities in the US.

TTP 2017 | UTA’s Center for Underground Infrastructure Research and Education will host the 2017 Trenchless Technology and Pipe Conference for water sewer, oil, and gas applications on June 20. Arlington 4th of July Parade | Since 1965, Arlington has been home to one of the largest 4th of July parades in Texas.
