University Attorney Shelby Boseman has been named a finalist for the 2018 Corporate Counsel Awards by D CEO magazine. Boseman is one of four recognized in the Outstanding General Counsel - Small Legal Department category. All 34 finalists from each category will be featured in D CEO’s October issue and recognized at an exclusive awards event in September where the winners in each category will be revealed. READ MORE

Aiding in Successful Re-Entry

Anne Nordberg (left), assistant professor in the School of Social Work, is leading a multidisciplinary team to develop better access to transportation for former criminal offenders as part of a National Institute for Transportation and Communities grant project. Steve Mattingly, associate professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, and Jaya Davis, associate professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, are co-principal investigators on the NITC grant. On July 24, local alumni gathered at Urban Alchemy to build UTA spirit, while in Washington, D.C., alumni met for the first ever alumni chapter meeting in the region.
