Carlisle Society

Donors whose cumulative giving to UTA exceeds $50,000

About

UTA's most exclusive group of donors, the Carlisle Society recognizes those whose cumulative giving to the University exceeds $50,000.

Through their generosity, these alumni, faculty, staff, and friends play an active role in making UTA an exceptional academic institution. Many Carlisle Society members have created permanent endowments that provide ongoing funding for critical initiatives.

James McCoy Carlisle, for whom the society is named, founded Carlisle Military Academy in 1902. A predecessor to UTA, the academy soon became one of the best-known military schools in Texas. From those early successes, the institution grew into today's University of more than 45,000 students. The Carlisle Society honors the academic vision that Carlisle brought to the institution he created.
