The Move-in Event is a campus-wide initiative to help residence hall students move into their new homes on opening day. More than 600 faculty, staff and student volunteers are on hand throughout the day to welcome students and parents. One of the great Maverick Stampede Events each year is Waffleopolis. Apartment and Residence Life, Housing Operations, and Dining Services sponsor the largest waffle party of the year. Students can come out and enjoy free waffles with a variety of toppings as well as music, entertainment and fun!
The third Thursday of April, Residence Hall Association holds their annual Block Party event. The Block Party is held on the University Center Mall and provides residents with music, food, inflatable games and other activities. Don’t miss the next Annual Block Party!
Late Night Breakfast
The Monday and Tuesday of finals week each semester, Apartment and Residence Life and Housing Operations sponsor the Late Night Breakfast. Breakfast is served in the Connection Café in the University Center and consists of a full menu from 9:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Residents come to enjoy a study break with good food and lots of fun. On Wednesday of finals week, residents can come to Bowling and Billiards and enjoy bowling, billiards and pizza!
Brazos Bra Bridge
During the month of October, in order to increase awareness about breast cancer, the Brazos Bulldogs make a unique bridge. This eye-catching clothesline holds all types of undergarments that make students stop and stare. Brazos residents sit at a table near the bridge and collect donations for the Susan G. Koman breast cancer research fund.
