Students and Campus Recreation members are welcome to drop by the Maverick Activities Center and create their own fun. They may choose from a variety of activities including basketball, table tennis, racquetball, weight lifting, volleyball, badminton, and so on. Mav ID or membership cards are required for entry.

Rules

1. Player(s) must make reservations at the Services & Information Desk or by calling 817-272-5289 during regular business hours.
2. Must have 2 players to reserve court.
3. Players must check-in no later than 5 minutes after the hour.
4. Players must present ID when checking in for reservation.
5. Players can only reserve court one day in advance.
6. Reservations are made only on the hour.
   

Admittance

All persons entering the MAC are required to have a valid Mav ID, membership card, and guest pass during all hours of operation.

Note: Children under 18 years of age may enter for free. They must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

Equipment Checkout

Equipment is free and available with a Mav ID or membership card. Participants may checkout both indoor and outdoor recreation equipment.

The MAC offers the following recreation facilities:

The Maverick Activities Center (MAC), a $34.5 million recreation facility, is approximately 190,000 sq. ft. and includes:

• 20,000 Square foot weight and fitness room (80+ pieces of cardio equipment, 4 circuit training units & a free weight area)
• 4 Multipurpose rooms — yoga, martial arts, aerobics, and more
• 5 Indoor basketball courts
• 9 Volleyball courts

• 2 Indoor tracks — 1/16 mile and 1/9 mile

Activity space is subject to change to accomodate maintenance projects, University holidays and special events. Notice of exceptions will be posted in the facilities with as much notice as possible.
