UTA REFLECTION ROOM

The UT Arlington Reflection Room is intended to be an open environment for personal meditation and quiet reflection.

Room Use Guidelines

This room was brought to life by the RESOLUTION 18-07: REFLECTION ROOM 2.0.
This room is to be used on a first-come, first-serve basis. Multiple individuals and or groups may occupy the room at the same time and can use the partitions as needed to divide the space for multiple users.

Please observe and adhere to the following rules:

  • The Reflection Room is not a study or meeting space.
  • Please keep the room as quiet as possible.
  • Personal electronic devices with amplified sound are prohibited.
  • The technology provided may be used but at limited sound levels as not to disturb other users.
  • No food or beverages are allowed.
  • No group or individual may reserve the Reflection Room.
  • No personal items should be left inside the room.
  • Candles and incense are not permitted in any indoor spaces on campus.
  • Shared items are available for temporary use in the storage cabinets outside the room. Please return any used items to the cabinets when finished.
  • Users are asked to refresh the room after each use.

The university requests all using the room be sensitive to the concerns and needs of others.

Foot washing guidelines

Plastic bins are provided for foot washing. To ensure your safety and the safety of others, please do not use sinks and toilets for foot washing.

Please clean out provided bins when finished and clean any water from floors to reduce risk of falls.
