Mavs charge past Akron, play CSU Bakersfield in NIT quarterfinal Wednesday at College Park Center

The UTA men's basketball team moved to the quarterfinal round in the National Invitation Tournament with an 85-60 win over Akron on Monday at College Park Center. The Mavs will play CSU-Bakersfield at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at College Park Center. The winner will advance to the NIT Final Four, played at Madison Square Garden on March 28-30. Tickets are $5 for students, faculty, and staff, and $10-$25 for general admission.

Maverick Advantage, QEP unveiled to enhance education; attend information session Wednesday

Signs, posters, and banners are going up around campus about the Maverick Advantage, UTA's quality enhancement plan, or QEP, to prepare students for success after college. The QEP will enable students across the University to identify and participate in opportunities that enhance their career preparedness, dedication to lifelong learning, and appreciation of a diverse and inclusive community.

Lockheed Martin donation fuels career development

A $1.5 million gift from Lockheed Martin will help enhance UTA’s focused, strategic approach to career development and the preparation of skilled and accomplished graduates for high-demand fields such as engineering. In recognition of the gift, the University announced Monday the naming of the Lockheed Martin Career Development Center on the UTA campus.
