Dear UTA students, faculty, and staff,

I’m pleased to share that we have identified our final candidates in the national search for UTA’s next Vice President for Research and Innovation, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the finalists to Maverick Country next week.

As part of their campus visit, each candidate will host a virtual forum to share their vision for UTA’s burgeoning research enterprise. All students, faculty, and staff are invited and encouraged to attend and engage with the finalists and provide feedback that will inform the final steps of this search.

Details on the campus forums are below. Join the forums using the Microsoft Teams Live links provided. The hour-long event will include a presentation from the candidate and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and offer comments.

Each candidate’s curriculum vitae will be posted to the Vice President for Research and Innovation search webpage at least 24 hours before their forum and remain available until 5 p.m. on the day it is held.

Surveys to provide feedback on each candidate will be posted to the Vice President for Research and Innovation search webpage the morning of each forum and remain available for one day after, so please be mindful and promptly complete the survey after each forum you attend.

We hope you are able to join us at these forums. This search yielded a diverse, illustrious pool of candidates, and the search committee and I are excited for the finalists to engage with our campus as we move toward filling this essential leadership position.

Sincerely,

Marion J. Ball, Ed.D.
Chair, VP for Research and Innovation Search Committee
Raj and Indra Nooyi Endowed Distinguished Chair in Bioengineering
Presidential Distinguished Professor and Executive Director, Multi-Interprofessional Center for Health Informatics
