UTA Office of the President - Jennifer Cowley, Ph.D.

June 13, 2022

Dear UTA campus community,

As I shared in my recent campus update, our committed faculty and staff are one of our institution’s greatest strengths and assets. Your dedication has enabled the success of our students, led to significant progress in research, and made a positive impact to our communities. One of the most visible examples of the University’s achievements over the past year is the attainment of the Texas Tier One designation, which was achieved through the dedication and hard work of our faculty and staff.

To recognize how your valuable contributions have helped advance the University, I am excited to inform you that we have allocated funding to provide merit raises for eligible employees. The increase will be effective September 1, the beginning of the new fiscal year. The Office of Human Resources will soon be providing to each division and unit management documents for the implementation of the merit process.

I am so excited to see what the future holds for our great institution. I appreciate your continued contributions and hard work, and I look forward to what we will accomplish together in making UTA one of the nation’s most inclusive and impactful research universities. Mav Up!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Cowley, Ph.D.
President
