UTA Office of the President

July 12, 2022

Dear UTA staff and faculty,

As I mentioned in my 75-day update to campus, UTA recognizes that the current economic climate and rising costs of living are negatively impacting many of our employees and their families. To the fullest extent we’re able, we want to help relieve financial stress for as many of our employees as possible.

In late August, UTA will provide a one-time transportation and groceries economic relief payment to eligible employees. The payment will be $350 (net pay) and be distributed to full-time, benefits-eligible employees (faculty and staff) hired before May 1, 2022, with annual base pay of $80,000 or less per year. This eligibility criteria maximizes the use of the limited one-time funds available for this initiative and captures the largest proportion of our full-time employees.

More details about the economic relief payment initiative can be found in the frequently asked questions prepared by the Office of Human Resources. If you have questions not addressed in the FAQs, please contact HR at askhr@uta.edu or 817-272-5554.

We are so grateful for everything you do to make UTA the world-class institution it is, and it’s my sincerest wish that this economic relief initiative can help mitigate some of the impact many of you are experiencing.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Cowley, Ph.D.
President
