Dear Colleagues,

Today is the day that we as Mavericks get to make a difference for so many in our communities —as it is officially the first day of the State Employee Charitable Campaign at UTA. Together, through this annual donation drive, you can help provide much-needed support to more than 300 participating charities that fund food banks, shelters for survivors of domestic violence and displaced individuals, job training programs targeting veterans, and countless other lifesaving programs. More than 40 of these charities directly serve our local communities across North Texas.

I encourage you to participate this year by donating to one or more of these vetted nonprofits. This campaign lasts from Sept. 15-Oct. 15, 2022.

With your support, last year our Maverick family raised over $20,000. This year’s goal is to reach over $30,000 donated by UTA employees—a benchmark I know we can achieve.

How do you donate? The easiest and fastest way to plan your future giving is through payroll deduction, which you can learn about on our UTA HR Service Center website. The money you donate will be invested in the charity of your choice, making the difference you want to see. The first deduction will begin on Jan. 2, 2023. Credit/debit card one-time donations are also welcome and will make an impact.

UTA is a strong community because of our compassionate and caring employees. None of us can do it alone; it takes everyone working together to help make Texas strong. Your donations can improve the lives of so many across North Texas. I encourage you to consider donating today.
