University closed Friday, October 3

The University of Texas at Arlington will be closed Friday, October 3, due to a partial power outage related to Thursday's severe storms. All classes are canceled, and all offices will be closed.

The UT Arlington Fort Worth Center and the UT Arlington Research Institute also will be closed. All daytime activities are canceled.

The E.H. Hereford University Center and Dining Services will be open to serve campus residents and essential staff. Campus residents are safe, and staff members are working to ensure their well-being.

Oncor is working to restore full power to the main campus.

Events and activities scheduled for Friday evening will likely proceed on schedule. The University is expected to be open for all classes and campus operations on Saturday, October 4.
