UTA Police win NNO honors for fifth year

The UTA Police Department was honored for the fifth year for its National Night Out campaign by the National Association of Town Watch. UTA is one of only five colleges or universities to receive the honor. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign to promote relationships between neighborhoods and law enforcement. SEIR building construction starts

Big trucks around campus for SEIR construction preparation

Watch for large trucks going to and from the construction site for the Science and Engineering Innovation and Research building. The trucks will haul away asphalt and dirt from the site through the end of December. The trucks will come to the site southbound on South Center Street, westbound on West Mitchell Street, and northbound on South Cooper Street to South Nedderman Drive. After being filled, the trucks will head northbound on Cooper to Interstate 30.


Online newsletters look at history, social engineering attacks

The latest issue of Frontera by the Center for Greater Southwestern Studies includes news about a new digital humanities project, new online Texas history courses taught by Center Director Sam Haynes and Center Fellow Gerald Saxon, research, events, and more.

The Information Security Office's November issue of Maverick Cyber Security Awareness focuses on types of malware and how to deflect them, as well as avoiding social engineering attacks and scams.
