New tradition brings Maverick family together

Candidates for provost, VP for academic affairs to visit campus

Candidates for provost and vice president for academic affairs will have separate sessions open to the University community at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, both in Room 108 of University Hall. Each candidate will speak and then answer questions.

The candidate's name will be released 24 hours in advance of his or her campus visit.

Beware of cyber criminals when shopping online

The Information Security Office encourages you to be aware of holiday season scams, phishing, and malicious software distribution campaigns. Cyber criminals often send personal messages that appear to be legitimate and include websites that look real with logos, email, or web templates. Lecture on evolutionary theory set for Thursday

  David Sloan Wilson  

Noted evolutionist David Sloan Wilson will speak on the influence of evolutionary theory in higher education, public policy, community­based research, and religion at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in Room 118 of the Life Science building. Dr. Wilson is a professor of biology and anthropology at Binghamton University.


Parking topic of next Staff Advisory Council meeting

Parking Director Greg Hladik is the guest speaker at the Staff Advisory Council meeting at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the upper level Student Congress Chambers in the E. H. UC Starbucks now takes gift cards, payments via app

Starbucks at the E.H. University Center now accepts Starbucks gift cards and payment via the Starbucks app. You also can earn stars through the Starbucks Rewards program. UTA Dining Services by Chartwells manages the UC Starbucks. Learn more about the Starbucks Rewards program.


New contractor named for maintenance, repair, services

The University, through the UT System Supply Chain Alliance, has entered into a new five-year preferred supplier agreement with W.W. Grainger Inc. for a variety of maintenance, repair, and operations products, and services. LEARN MORE.

Shares in Arlington College were a great stocking stuffer for Christmas in 1900. Today, the certificate can't be cashed in but remains a priceless treasure.
