Carlisle Cannons

Expect a big Ka-BOOM! at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, to kick off the Homecoming Parade. The Maverick Battalion will fire the Carlisle Cannons once at The Green at College Park.

Quantum communications

Michael Vasilyev, professor of electrical engineering, received a three-year, $750,000 grant to address the challenges of quantum communications systems. Read more.

Safer aircrafts

Endel Iarve, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, is leading the $1 million grant looking at establishing fatigue and durability standards for materials used in aircraft. Read more.

Bob Woods Distinguished Chair in Automotive Engineering

Bob Woods, the longtime UTA mechanical engineering professor and Formula SAE adviser, is the first recipient of an endowed chair established in his honor. Read more.

Muhammed Wahab

International recognition

Muhammad Farooq Wahab, research engineering scientist in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, was named to the Analytical Chemists 2018 Top 40 Under 40 Power List. Read more.

Permit holders park free for basketball games

Vehicles with an active UTA parking permit can park for free in the event lots for Maverick basketball games at College Park Center. Read more.

Get your tickets for Maverick Speakers Series
