Saturday is Homecoming's big day

There's plenty of party left in Homecoming 2018 on Saturday, Nov. 10. Wake up early for the Homecoming 5K Run/Walk/Roll. The afternoon includes the Black Maverick Homecoming Mixer, the Street Festival, and the alumni Party on the Plaza. Find a good spot on Spaniolo Drive to see the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally before the men's basketball game in College Park Center. Read about the athletic events at right.

Maverick sports this weekend

The Homecoming sports action starts today, Friday, Nov. 9, with the Movin' Mavs and Lady Movin' Mavs at the Jim Hayes Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament and the UTA-Texas State volleyball game.

On Saturday, Nov. 10, basketball fans can watch the Maverick action at women's team vs Jackson State and men's team vs Northern Iowa. games. Homecoming king and queen will be crowned during halftime of the men's game.

Carlisle Cannons start parade with a bang

The Maverick Battalion will fire the Carlisle Cannons once at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, to kick off the Homecoming Parade. The cannons will be at The Green at College Park.

Campus shuttles see ridership increases

Projections show that the MavMover shuttle service will eclipse the 350,000 passenger mark this academic year, leading to an 80 percent increase over the number of passengers last year. Read more.
