Basketball x4 at championship tourneys

UTA basketball fans have a busy week with four teams in championship playoffs.

Both the men's and women's teams are No. 2 seeds going into the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) championship tournaments in New Orleans. The Lady Mavs compete at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15. The men's team plays at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Both games will be aired on ESPN+.

Coaches Chris Ogden and Krista Gerlich were named SBC basketball Coaches of the Year.

The Movin' Mavs (No. 3 seed) are hoping for a ninth title and the Lady Movin' Mavs (No. 1 seed) for a third at the National Wheelchair Basketball Association's collegiate championships in Champaign, Illinois. Read more. The women's team plays at noon and the men's team at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 14. Games will be live streamed.

Doug Garner will be inducted into the NWBA Hall of Fame later this month.

HR is moving

The Office of Human Resources will be closed Friday, March 15, while it relocates to Room 101 of the Wetsel Service Center. Starting Monday, March 18, use the south entrance to reach the office.
