Title IX and EOS offices merging

In an effort to better serve the UTA campus community, the Office of Title IX and the Office of Equal Opportunity Services (EOS) are being merged into the new Office of Equal Opportunity Services and Title IX. The combined office will be led by Michelle Willbanks as the EOS director and Title IX coordinator. It will be responsible for investigating all allegations of unlawful discrimination (race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, and sexual misconduct) affecting members of the UTA community.

The office is currently working on updates to the respective EOS and Title IX websites. Eddie Freeman, executive director in Human Resources, will be transitioning from EOS to contribute to HR’s ongoing efforts of promoting a culture of inclusiveness and engagement based on UTA’s Principles of Community. If you are aware of, or have experienced, unlawful harassment or sexual misconduct, please contact eoaa@uta.edu. If you have any questions, please contact Shelby Boseman, chief legal officer, at sboseman@uta.edu.
