UTA Night at the Rangers

There's still time to get tickets to watch the Texas Rangers as they battle the Tampa Bay Rays at the annual UTA Night at the Rangers on Thursday, Sept. 12. The first 1,000 fans receive a voucher for a limited edition UTA-themed Rangers cap. Read more.

Suit-Up event Sept. 15

Cooper at Abram road work

Construction at Cooper and Abram streets should stop for a while after the northbound lane turning east is leveled. Expect the intersection to see major work in November.

Bluebonnet Foyer

Construction on a new north entrance to the University Center, aka the Bluebonnet Foyer, has caused the temporary closure of First Street between West and Oak streets.

Maverick Speakers Series with Bob Woodward on Thursday, Sept. 19

Journalism legend Bob Woodward will talk on "The State of the American Presidency" at the first Maverick Speakers Series of the season at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at Texas Hall.

An associate editor of The Washington Post since 1971, Woodward has shared in two Pulitzer prizes, first in 1973 for coverage of the Watergate scandal with Carl Bernstein, and second in 2003 as the lead reporter for coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

He has authored 19 books. His latest, Fear: Trump in the White House, became a No. 1 international bestseller, selling over 1.1 million copies in its first week.
