Policies updated

The Consensual Relationships policy has been updated. This policy applies to all employees, enrolled students, and affiliates at UTA and supports the University’s commitment to a learning and work environment of civility and respect. The policy explains when consensual relationships are permitted at UTA, describes relationships that are prohibited because of a “position of power” between the participants, and details relationships that require a mitigating management plan.

The new Youth Programs policy promotes the safety of minors participating in camps or programs on campus and programs sponsored or supported by the University by providing oversight and training for youth camps. The policy does not apply to University course-based academic service learning or research approved by the Institutional Review Board.
