The educational nonprofit ScholarShot ranked UTA tied for first in Texas on its University Report Card for serving first-generation, low-income students.

Black Heritage Celebration

Black Heritage Celebration

UTA's Black Heritage Celebration day—Saturday, Feb. 1—features a screening of Fannie Lou Hamer’s America, a documentary about the civil rights leader’s struggle in the 1960s, as well as a discussion with the filmmaker, a panel discussion on voting rights, and a variety of programs for youths.

The African American Faculty and Staff Association sponsors the event, along with the UTA Libraries and the Center for African American Studies.

Volunteer for Internship Fair

Register to volunteer for the Lockheed Martin Career Development Center's Internship Workshop and Fair, set for 1-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the University Center.
