Visual communication design accolades

The Visual Communication Design program is ranked among the top 50 nationally, according to Animation Career Review.

The Art and Art History program was ranked No. 44 for graphic design by the website, an online resource for aspiring animators, game designers, graphic designers, and digital artists.

Faculty can take ACUE course for free

UTA is offering faculty members a chance to take the Association of College and University Educators' course in Effective Teaching Practices at no cost.

Apply by 5 p.m. Friday, March 27. The 66 faculty selected will be notified by Monday, April 20.

University Advancement wins communication awards

A team of communication and marketing professionals in University Advancement took home awards from the recent District IV conference of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

The annual conference celebrates the best work in educational advancement in the Southwest region, which comprises Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

There were more than 500 entries. UTA won:

UTA at Six Flags

Enjoy the rides while you help education at the AISD Education Celebration at Six Flags 6-11 p.m. Friday, April 17. For each $25 ticket, $5 goes to the UTA Emergency Assistance Fund and AISD initiatives.
